Hi there, I'm Melissa.👋
As the daughter of two immigrant parents, I grew up watching my family navigate the challenges of building something from nothing. My mom ran a small cleaning business, and from the time I was nine years old, I was right there with her—helping her clean offices after school while other kids were at soccer practice or took dance lessons.
Later, as a young single mother, I experienced firsthand how vital it was to claim every credit and deduction I was legally entitled to on my own tax return. I know what it feels like to rely on a tax refund as a financial lifeline.
I know what it feels like to wonder if you’re “doing it wrong.” I know what it feels like to pray you don't owe the IRS more than you can afford. And I know how heavy it feels to carry a business on your back when nobody’s handing you shortcuts, inheritances, or bailouts.
That’s why I don’t see taxes as just paperwork. When used strategically and legally, the tax code can be leveraged as a tool to move you from survival to stability, and from stability to real, lasting growth.
I’ve been doing this for over 15 years, but I’ve never forgotten where I started. This isn’t just my career. It’s personal. Every return, every strategy, every piece of advice—I give it the same care I once wished someone had given me.
